The veteran screen and stage actor, who passed away on July 20, 2025, at 97 years of age in his home in Beverly Hills, is none other than Hollywood’s Tom Troupe, best remembered for his outstanding guest appearances in Mission: Impossible and Star Trek, among the 75 other television shows which feature him over a career spanning more than six decades.
Early Life and Military Service
Tom Troupe was born on July 15, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri. He had begun his arts journey with local theater. He served in the Korean War, and that was when he earned a Bronze Star for bravery before he began acting full-time.
Broadway Beginnings
The Broadway stage debut for Troupe came in 1957, when he played Peter van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank. His stage career took off after that with performances in The Lion in Winter, Father’s Day, and The Gin Game; often he shared the boards with his wife, actress Carole Cook, who passed away in 2023.
