Netflix Criticized for Using Song from Aavesham Without Credits

Netflix Uses Aavesham Song: Aavesham, directed by Jithu Madhavan, starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, was a huge success in Kerala and became a topic of discussion all over India. Fahadh’s character Rangannan, played by him in the film, still has a cult following. Fahadh’s Kannada-infused Malayalam slang in the film and his ‘Eda Mone’ call were viral on social media.

Another important factor that made the film a success was the songs and background music composed by Sushin Shyam for Aavesham. The tracks Illuminati and Armadam in the film were chartbusters.

Last Dance Used without credits?

The track Last Dance, which is played when Rangannan’s flashback is shown in the film, is currently the topic of discussion on social media. Social media has found that the track Last Dance from Aavesham is featured as background music in the teaser of the animated series Splinter Cell: Death Watch released by Netflix. However, ‘Aavesham’ fans are criticizing that Sushin Shyam was not given credits in the teaser. Meanwhile, a comment attributed to Sushin Shyam is also gaining attention. “Thank you for using my track here. But it would have been nice if my name was also in the credits.” The comment is currently not visible in Netflix’s comment box. Therefore, it is not clear whether Sushin himself actually shared this comment.

Netflix’s comment box is filled with the hit dialogue of ‘Ithokke Shraddhikande Ambane’ saying that it is not morally right not to give credit to the creators of the song and ‘Ithokke Suktaarde Ambane’. Splinter Cell is a series that fans are waiting for with great expectations in the field of animation series. The series will be released on Netflix on October 14.
