Paradha Budget: Anupama Parameswaran seems to be the most awaited Paradha film for the socially thought-provoking theme. It is also in anticipation for an answer to its economics. Fans and trade circles are interested to know if financial benchmarks would be crossed to consider the movie a hit?
Though it has not been officially revealed by the makers, industry sources give definite clues to the sagacity. Telugu social dramas are mostly made on ₹10–20 crores, depending on the scale, locations, and cast. Being labeled as having beautiful landscapes and social settings, Paradha likely lies somewhat between the middle and business blockbusters in terms of budget-keeping.
So how much should be collected for the recovery too?
The recovery of the money invested in a film is much more complicated as comprising only ticket sales. Only 30% on the average of the collections is paid at the box office to the producer. Therefore, it is expected that a film like Paradha, which costs ₹15 crores, will perform above ₹40–50 crores around the globe to break even. More so on days when the budget edges closer to ₹60 crores.
Alternative Revenue Generators
Traditional ways may not necessarily bring a film the profits. More avenues are available today towards the running and investment capacity of the film. These include satellite television rights, OTT deals, and music; they add considerably to the budget long before the release. Saturation in OTT or TV outlets can virtually relief some of the stress off of Paradha from ticket sales.

While the tongues wag, it can be said that sweeping figures have not yet been disclosed, but it will be fair to assume that the box office numbers would have to be heavy if Paradha is considered successful say in the manner of ₹40–65 crores. Again, any additional benefit would come from the goodwill Anupama enjoys in the industry and the viewers who would obviously appreciate any format of a good film.
