Trance of OMI:
After entertaining audiences with Hari Hara Veeramallu, Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan is gearing up for his much-awaited action thriller, OG. Directed by Sujeeth of Saaho fame, the film is already making waves ahead of release. Pawan Kalyan takes on the role of Ojas Gambheera, aka OG, a formidable underworld don returning from exile.
The film also marks the Telugu debut of Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, who plays the menacing villain Omi Bhau. The intense face-off between Pawan Kalyan and Emraan Hashmi is being hailed as one of the biggest cinematic showdowns in recent Tollywood history, with fans eagerly awaiting their power-packed confrontations.
Adding to the buzz, the makers unveiled a powerful track, “Trance of OMI”, highlighting Emraan Hashmi’s villainous persona. Penned by Adviteeya and sung by Shruti Ranjani, Pranati, Shrutik, and Adviteeya, the song is composed by Thaman S. The teaser, released a few days ago, already showcased the sheer intensity of Thaman’s music, further raising expectations.
Produced by DVV Danayya’s DVV Entertainment, OG features stunning cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran and Manoj Paramahamsa. The ensemble cast includes Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, with a special appearance by Neha Shetty.
The film’s teaser, Hungry Cheetah, unveiled on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, went viral instantly. The craze is evident with advance bookings shattering records — including a single ticket in the Nizam region sold for ₹5 lakh. In the U.S., pre-release screenings have already grossed over $82,000 from just 46 shows.
Slated for a pan-India release on September 25, 2025, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, OG has already clocked ₹150 crore in pre-release business. Netflix has bagged the digital rights for a record-breaking ₹92 crore, with streaming expected about a month post-theatrical release.
With its stylish direction, gripping action, and massive scale, OG is all set to be one of the biggest Telugu blockbusters of 2025.
