Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her daughter Malti Marie have landed in Hyderabad, creating a buzz among fans and film insiders. The actress shared sweet glimpses of their arrival on Instagram, including a photo of Malti’s hands and feet captioned, “Mama and Malti,” and another of Malti looking out the car window with the text, “Hyderabad we made it.”
While Priyanka has not revealed the reason behind her visit, speculation is mounting that she is in town to shoot for SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated film SSMB29. Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran take the lead, an ambitious action-adventure film directed by SS Rajamouli. The filmmakers aim to deliver a cinematic spectacle that weaves together elements of mythology, history, and high-stakes adventure. They are producing the film on a massive budget, reflecting Rajamouli’s signature style of grandeur and scale. The team has already completed major portions of the shoot in Odisha, capturing visually rich and culturally significant locations. The makers have set their sights on a 2027 theatrical release, promising a global blockbuster in the making.
Priyanka recently worked on Heads of State, an action-comedy directed by Ilya Naishuller. The film also stars Idris Elba, John Cena, and Paddy Considine and received good reviews. In it, Priyanka plays MI6 agent Noel Bisset, who joins a chaotic international mission alongside Elba and Cena.
She is also part of Krrish 4, which marks Hrithik Roshan’s directorial debut, and The Bluff, a swashbuckling drama set in the 19th-century Caribbean. In The Bluff, she plays a former pirate whose past threatens her family’s safety. The film co-stars Karl Urban and Ismael Cruz Córdova.
