Nagarjuna Look in Coolie: At the press meet for the much-anticipated film Coolie, superstar Rajinikanth expressed his deep admiration for actor Nagarjuna Akkineni’s role in the film. Speaking during the event, Rajinikanth revealed that director Lokesh Kanagaraj had first narrated the character of Simon to him. The role impressed him so much that he immediately wanted to take it up.

However, to his surprise, Lokesh informed him that he had Nagarjuna in mind for the role instead. But, still, Rajini had doubted whether Nagarjuna would agree, Lokesh remained confident. Rajinikanth shared that Lokesh told him, “I’ll convince him at any cost.” As the press event continued, Rajinikanth fondly spoke about reuniting with Nagarjuna after 33 years. He praised the actor’s timeless charm and impressive fitness. “He still looks just as fit as he did years ago,” Rajinikanth said. When he asked Nagarjuna about the secret behind his fitness, the actor credited regular workouts, a strict diet, and “some good genes from my dad.”

Furthermore, Rajinikanth openly acknowledged how well Nagarjuna performed in the role of Simon.
