Over a decade after its release, Ek Tha Tiger has achieved a unique international milestone. The 2012 spy thriller, directed by Kabir Khan and starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, is now part of the prestigious International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C. It stands as the only Indian film featured there, joining legendary spy franchises like James Bond, Mission Impossible, and Men in Black.
The museum features a special section dedicated to famous spy films and TV series. Posters of around 25 international titles are on display, and Ek Tha Tiger now holds a proud place among them. Other featured titles include Casino Royale, Spy Game, Mr & Mrs Smith, The Imitation Game, Bridge of Spies, Homeland, and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Director Kabir Khan shared his surprise at the recognition. “People messaged me saying they saw Ek Tha Tiger’s poster at the museum. It’s the only Hindi film there, and I found it amusing and wonderful to see Salman and Katrina’s faces on that wall.”
Kabir reflected on the film’s lasting impact. “It’s amazing how Ek Tha Tiger continues to get love, even 13 years later. We shot it with minimal VFX and focused on raw, real action. I believe audiences still connect more with that kind of filmmaking.”
Katrina Kaif was last seen in Merry Christmas (2024), a bilingual film shot in both Hindi and Tamil. Salman Khan’s latest release was Sikandar in 2025, and he is now gearing up for Battle of Galwan, expected to hit screens soon.
