Fans of Prabhas have been eagerly waiting for updates on his upcoming action drama Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Recently, the director shared some exciting insights into the highly anticipated film.
During a recent appearance on Jayammu NischayammuRaa with Jagapathi Babu, Vanga addressed questions about the film’s runtime. Light-heartedly, he promised, “I’ll make sure the runtime doesn’t exceed 3 hours, sir.” His comment humorously referenced his last film Animal, which drew mixed reactions for its extended runtime of over three hours. For Spirit, Vanga aims for a more concise experience without losing the intensity.
Vanga also revealed that 70% of Spirit’s background score is already finished—before the filming even starts. Drawing from his past films like Kabir Singh and Animal, he explained how having the music ready in advance helps during production. “It makes it easier to shoot, and we can sense when to cut,” he said, adding that this method saves up to five to six days of filming time.
Collaborating with Prabhas
Vanga praised Prabhas for his humility. Despite his massive fame, Prabhas is described as “very transparent and sweet” to work with.
Spirit is set to be a high-octane cop drama, with Prabhas playing a fierce police officer targeting an underworld syndicate. Triptii Dimri is cast as the female lead, promising new on-screen chemistry.
Before Spirit, Prabhas will star in The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy set to release in 2025. With both films in the works, Prabhas fans can look forward to a diverse slate of films, ranging from supernatural comedies to gritty action-packed dramas.
