On September 23, actress Shilpa Shetty took to Instagram to celebrate 31 years of the cult classic Main Khiladi Tu Anari. She posted a video clip from the evergreen romantic track Chura Ke Dil Mera, a fan-favourite song from the 1994 film.
The song, sung by Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik, features Shilpa alongside Akshay Kumar. Her post tagged co-stars Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Shakti Kapoor, and the film’s makers.
Released in 1994, Main Khiladi Tu Anari quickly became a blockbuster. Directed by Sameer Malkan, the action-comedy paired Akshay Kumar as tough cop Karan Joglekar with Saif Ali Khan as film star Deepak Kumar. Shilpa Shetty played a dual role as Mona and Basanti, marking one of her most memorable early performances. The film’s perfect blend of action, comedy, and romance made it a hit among all age groups.
The film’s soundtrack, composed by Anu Malik, featured major hits like Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Chura Ke Dil Mera. With voices from legends like Asha Bhosle, Kumar Sanu, and Udit Narayan, the songs helped drive the movie’s popularity.
