Stranger Things 5: Recently, Finn Wolfhard made an appearance on the podcast show “Q with Tom Power,” where he discussed both his new journey into music and wrapping up his iconic role on Stranger Things. The 22-year-old Canadian actor shared personal insights into closing this massive chapter of his life.
In the interview, Finn revealed that he was actually the last person filmed for Stranger Things season 5. Describing how surreal it felt, he talked about being in denial through much of the shoot, treating it like just another season. But once it got to the final months, the weight of all the “lasts”, the last table read, the last day of filming started to hit.
He recalled feeling completely numb until that very last scene:
“It was like, okay, we know that this is it. This is the final thing we’re going to film. And all of a sudden everything came into perspective super fast. It was so otherworldly and weird. It felt like being in another dimension.”
Finn also shared how emotional it was to have much of the cast who had already wrapped still stay behind to witness the end. He described it as a powerful, almost hidden moment, like stepping into another world.
“Everyone grew up on that show. The Duffer Brothers were 30 when they started, now they’re 40. It was just this huge moment where all of us got to be together, celebrate, and kind of mourn the death of the show.”
With Stranger Things now behind him, Finn Wolfhard is carving a new path. The actor has recently launched his solo music career, releasing his debut album titled “Happy Birthday.” While he says he’s trying to create some distance from the series that made him a global star, Finn also expressed deep gratitude for the entire experience.
Fans are hoping that season 5 will give Mike Wheeler, Finn’s beloved character, a truly fitting farewell. As the Stranger Things era draws to a close, it’s clear these are bittersweet, emotional times for both the cast and the millions of fans who grew up with them.
