Sunjay Kapoor’s 1,900 Cr Assets: Samaira and Kian Raj Kapur, the children of Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, petitioned the High Court for a portion of their father Sunjay Kapoor’s estate. Since they have been totally left out of their father’s will, the children claim that it is a fraudulent one.
The Delhi High Court has called Sunday Kapur’s second wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, who made an unexpected statement in court on Wednesday. On behalf of Karisma’s children, senior attorney Mahesh Jethmalani stated that although Sunjay Kapur usually kept the paperwork organized, this is odd and not even registered. However, on behalf of Sunjay Kapur’s wife, Priya Sachdev Kapur, senior attorney Rajiv Nair contended that the children had already received property through the trust valued at almost Rs 1900 crore. Nair stated that Priya Kapur is Sunjay Kapur’s last lawful wife and that the will does not need to be recorded. The mother of the deceased businessman further informed the court that a property valued at Rs 10,000 crore is under dispute and that a ruling should be made to preserve the status quo.

The defendants are required to submit the will in a sealed envelope and respond within two weeks of the High Court formally registering the case. In addition, the court will need to get a list of all of Sunjay Kapur’s properties. The court will now review the temporary order, or stay, at the next hearing in this case on October 9.
