About the Crew Member Who Died During Kantara Shoot

The news of Niju’s death came to light in June. He was 43 years old. Niju was staying at a home stay arranged for junior artists on location. Niju, who experienced severe chest pain in the morning, was admitted to the hospital, but his life could not be saved.

The Kantara Tragedies

This is the third death to occur on the set of Kantara. In May, a junior artist named Kabil, who was on the set in Kollur, drowned. The producers had come forward saying that the incident did not take place on the set of the movie and that no shooting was taking place that day. They had said that the shooting was not scheduled for that day and that Kabir died not during any film-related activity. Comedian Rajesh Poojary died in March. He too died on the sets following a heart attack.

Suresh Gopi: Workfront

Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi’s latest film, JSK, is a horror film that has hit the theatres. The full name of the film is Janaki V vs. State of Kerala. The film, directed by Praveen Narayanan, had Madhav Suresh and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles. However, the film, which was finally released, did not receive enough response due to controversies and a change in name.
