Stranger Things: Picture a world where The Family Man’s Srikant Tiwari is no longer chasing terrorists but demons from another universe. Welcome to the ultimate crossover OTT: Stranger Things x The Family Man.
The Upside Down has descended upon India; to be specific, a peaceful coastal town in the Kerala state. A mysterious blackout is merely the start. As matters grow more dire with the vanishing of children and bizarre beings observed lurking in the forest. The Prime Minister’s office has no clue what to do, and there is only one organization that can help: T.A.S.C.
Enter Srikant Tiwari, battling his home fronts with now-rebellious Dhriti and having to work on something he doesn’t even believe in. “Demogorgons? Seriously? Are they like Naxals or worse?” he mutters, stuffing Parle-G into his bag as he heads out.
But he does not act alone. An unexpected time rift transports Eleven and Dustin to India, who are stalked by a quickly adapting Vecna, who has discovered how to hijack human hosts through reverse-playing old Bollywood songs (shiver, anyone?). Not long after, Srikant and Eleven collaborate: the frazzled intelligence officer and telekinetic teenager.
While JK is not busy enough trying to flirt with Nancy (with zero success), Dhriti approaches Max, who shows her how to skateboard in chaos.
T.A.S.C. tries to decode this interdimensional threat using chai, sarcasm, and jugaad. One thing is for sure, though, though: if this new villain is not stopped, all of India, maybe the whole world will end up falling into the Upside Down.
