Seth Rogen Scores First Lead Nod
Creator and star Seth Rogen earned his first Lead Actor in a Comedy nomination. His earlier nods came in supporting and producing roles for Pam & Tommy and The Boys. Now, Rogen added to his tally of eight Emmy nods. He also received nominations for writing and directing the pilot episode, joining co-creator Evan Goldberg.
Hollywood legend Martin Scorsese landed his first-ever acting Emmy nomination for playing a chaotic version of himself in The Studio. His emotional reaction, shared by daughter Francesca on Instagram, showed the moment’s weight. Scorsese joins a powerhouse list of guest stars, Bryan Cranston, Dave Franco, Ron Howard, Anthony Mackie, all of whom also received nods. With six out of six possible slots filled by The Studio, this category is now unofficially owned by the show.

The Studio earned nominations across writing, directing, and a wide range of technical categories—production design, cinematography, costumes and hairstyling, sound editing and mixing, original music, and casting. It submitted just one episode for writing “The Promotion” and one for directing “The Oner”, and both received nods. Apple TV+ greenlit a second season in May 2025, underscoring confidence in its quality and acclaim that span both narrative and craft.
