Top Rs 500 Crore Films in 2025: Can Teja Sajja Join the List For Telugu Cinema?

Top Rs 500 Crore Films in 2025: Can Teja Sajja Join the List For Telugu Cinema?

500 Crore Films in 2025: But 2025 already brought some bang-for-buck 500 crore-plus entries from different languages, mainly from Bollywood and Kollywood. Tollywood itself is waiting for its Rs 500 crore ticket puncher blockbuster but one is apprehended that Teja Sajja’s ambitious Mirai has missed it, while now all eyes look at Pawan Kalyan’s OG. If this doesn’t take flight either, well, by the end of 2025 Telugu cinema might end that year without even one entry to the elite club.

1. Siyaraa-(Hindi)-530-Crores.

Nationally, Siyaraa surprised many and eventually took home Rs. 530 crores. With its runaway success, it proved that new content, along with the much-young talented has that potential, if not equal to star-driven projects.

2. Chhaava-(Hindi)-880-Crores.

Chaava established itself to be the Hindi blockbuster of the year, wherein the epic event banged out an Rs 880 crore turnover. This movie with power-packed performances and rich vistas elevates period drama in India to another level.

3. Coolie-(Tamil)-520-Crores

Rajinikanth’s mass entertainer Coolie, yet another proves Superstar’s pan-India charms. Balancing massive action and family clout, it breached the Rs 520 crore mark.

4. Opportunity for Telugu Cinema-Mirai

Mirai Teja Sajja mythological fantasy that Tollywood pinned its hope upon with great expectations, latest VFX, and positive word of mouth, hardly missed the bus at the box office by 500 crores. Purely for Telugu cinema, it is still under the task of getting a box office giant the size of Bollywood and Kollywood by 2025.

5. Everyone’s Interest Now in OG

Well, the final ray of hope rests on the much anticipated Pawan Kalyan-OG action drama. People in the industry have pinned huge hopes on it to lift the box office, but if OG also fails, then the year 2025 can close without Telugu cinema registering a single 500 crore grosser. A very rare drought for this industry, known for massive pan-India blockbusters.

Bollywood and Kollywood have had their shares of 500 crore plus successes. The Telugu cinema is at the crossroads now with Mirai missing that position and OG having glowing expectations. The months ahead will tell whether Telugu cinema makes it in 2025 to this prestigious Rs 500 crore club or will walk in empty-handed.
