With his successful films ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Geetha Govindam’. Vijay is today considered one of the closest self-made stars in the Telugu film industry. He had no heavy lineage or godfathers in the industry but showed incredible talent and unapologetic confidence to make it big. His abandoning his high-spirited persona turned him into the youth icon, especially those who inspired this rebel attitude.

The defence attributed the quote to his true self, probably his tenacity, in not given in to the byzantine politics of the industry that he works in or the indifference of outside opinion. Critics, however, argued that nobody can make or break a man in his success. Many also reminded that even actors depend on directors, producers, writers, and technicians like everyone else, and most importantly, on the audience. For some users, it belittled the effort behind every film and achieving success.
This isn’t the first time that Vijay Deverakonda has opened up a can of worms with the words he chooses to use in a public forum. His unfiltered, direct nature blurs the lines between confidence and cockiness. But it doesn’t matter whether you love him or hate him; he stays consistent in his individuality.
