Due to good government policies, hardworking people and big market, India is now becoming a big hub of smartphone manufacturing. This change is a matter of pride for the country and Smartphone Exports from India will grow even further in the coming years

Increase in smartphone production in India

‘Made in India’ smartphone shipments in India grew by 6% in 2024, with Apple and Samsung contributing 94% to exports. According to Counterpoint’s ‘Make in India’ report, both these companies have rapidly increased production in India to strengthen the country in the global supply chain and reduce dependence on imports. The Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme of the Government of India has also prompted these brands to manufacture more in India.

Samsung retains first position
