Banks to Remain Closed for Four Days: Details Here

Bank Holidays From Tomorrow:
Many people look forward to long weekends, and bank employees and customers are getting one soon. Banks in several states of India will remain closed for four consecutive days from October 25 to October 28, 2025. These holidays are being observed due to the weekend and important regional festivals.

Bank Holidays From Tomorrow:

October is a month filled with festivals across different states. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issues holiday notifications depending on local customs and celebrations. Due to this, banks do not remain closed nationwide on all festival days. Customers are advised to check the holiday list for their specific state before planning any bank-related work.

According to the holiday schedule, October 25 is the fourth Saturday of the month, which is a non-working day for banks. October 26 falls on Sunday. These two days are already considered weekly holidays.

October 27 will be a bank holiday in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand because of Chhath Puja Evening Arghya. The next day, October 28, banks in Bihar and Jharkhand will be closed again for Chhath Puja Morning Arghya. As a result, people in these states will not be able to visit bank branches for four days in a row.

In addition to these holidays, Gujarat will have a bank holiday on October 31 to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti. Customers in that state should also make necessary arrangements in advance.

Even though physical branches remain closed, digital banking platforms will continue to work without interruption. Net banking, mobile banking, ATMs, UPI payments, and online services will help customers complete most of their financial activities from home. However, some tasks still require a branch visit. These include cash deposits of large amounts, updating KYC details, locker operations, and opening or closing joint accounts.

To avoid inconvenience, customers are advised to plan ahead. It is important to withdraw enough cash if needed and complete urgent banking work before the long weekend. Checking the updated holiday list before visiting a branch can save time and prevent issues.

Long weekends are enjoyable, but proper planning is essential for smooth financial management during bank holidays.
