School Holiday in THIS State Next Week: Check Dates & Timings

Delhi – NCR School Holiday: Students and parents want to know if schools and institutions will be closed next week due to the deteriorating air quality in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). In the meantime, the Directorate of Education (DoE) Delhi has instructed schools to stop outdoor activities in accordance with the Supreme Court’s ruling, even though there is no directive on school closures.

In a circular, the Department of Education instructed schools to postpone physical sport competitions that were planned for November and December due to the local air quality trends. It further stated that all institutions under the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, including government-run schools, government-aided and unaided recognized private schools of the Department of Education, NDMC, MCD, and Delhi Cantonment Board, universities and colleges, and sports associations recognized by the National Sports Federations/Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, GOI, are instructed to ensure strict compliance of the aforementioned directives until further orders.

Delhi Schools Will Be Run in Hybrid Mode:
Delhi’s schools will keep using a hybrid strategy for instruction. Classes 6 through 12 will continue in offline mode, while schools up to Class 5 will use hybrid mode.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday, November 19, directed the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) to consider ordering schools in the Delhi-NCR region to postpone sports and athletic events planned for November and December due to the worsening air quality in Delhi. The Court recommended delaying these operations until months with lower pollution levels. Concerns over staging sporting events when the Air Quality Index (AQI) is still at dangerous levels prompted a bench of Chief Justice of India BR Gavai and Justice K Vinod Chandran to comment.
