Tejas Plane Crash Pilot: Officials have identified Wing Commander Namansh Syal as the pilot of the Tejas fighter plane that crashed on Friday during the Dubai Air Show 2025. After the plane lost control and crashed at the Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai World Central, Wing Commander Syal, who is from the Himachal Pradesh area of Kangra, was unable to escape.

Wing Commander Syal, a 34-year-old inhabitant of Nagrota Bagwan, Kangra, has expertise flying Sukhoi Su-30 MKIs and was trained in the MiG-21, which was just withdrawn from the Indian Air Force. He had been flying Tejas of the Third Squadron lately.
Wing Commander Syal was honored by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who stated the nation had lost a “brave, dutiful, and courageous pilot.” “I send the grieving family members my sincere condolences. Investigation Over Tejas Plane Crash:
Witnesses reported that the aircraft failed to regain altitude after inverting itself and descending before striking the ground at approximately 2:10 pm (local time). A court of inquiry has been ordered by the IAF to determine the accident’s cause. It should be mentioned that the Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) has been involved in two crashes in the past twenty months. The pilot was able to safely evacuate from the last mishap, which happened in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, in March of last year.
