Kota Srinivasa Rao Demise: Kota Srinivasa Rao, a towering figure in Telugu cinema, breathed his last at his residence at 4:00 am today after battling health issues for some time. His passing has left the film and political circles in deep shock. From Chief Ministers to celebrated actors, many have taken to social media to express their grief and pay respects.


 

Chiranjeevi sheds tears over Kota Srinivasa Rao’s death

Megastar Chiranjeevi was among the first to respond. “The news that legendary actor Kota Srinivasa Rao is no more is very disturbing. He and I started our film careers at the same time with the film ‘Pranam Khareedhu’. He acted brilliantly, whether it was a comedy, a villain, or a supporting character. The film industry will never be able to fill the void left by Kota Srinivasa Rao,” he said.


 

Brahmanandam and Rajendra Prasad in tears

Veteran comedian Brahmanandam personally visited Kota Srinivasa Rao’s residence and paid his last respects, visibly emotional as he recalled their bond. Alongside him, Rajendra Prasad also offered condolences to the grieving family.

Tanikella Bharani, after paying tribute, poignantly remarked to the media, “The fortress of the film industry has collapsed. Born in the common middle class, his rise to the pinnacle of cinema step by step is very inspiring. I wish his soul peace and may God grant courage to his family members.”

 

CM Chandrababu condoles the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu tweeted, “The death of Kota Srinivasa Rao, a famous actor who won the affection of the film audience with his diverse roles, is saddening. His distinguished service to the film and theater sectors and the roles he played are memorable. His death is a great loss to the Telugu film industry. He won as an MLA from Vijayawada in 1999 and served the public. I express my deepest condolences to his family members.”

 

CM Revanth Reddy condoles the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also shared, “He impressed the audience with his distinctive acting. His death is a huge loss to the film industry. The film industry cannot make up for his absence. Even though Kota garu is not physically with us…he will remain in the hearts of the Telugu people forever with the diverse roles he played. I pray to God that his soul may rest in peace…and I express my deepest condolences to the family members.”

 

Former CM KCR condoles the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao

Former Telangana Chief Minister KCR reacted, saying, “A distinguished silver screen actor who played various roles… has cemented his place in the hearts of the audience. With Kota’s death, the film industry has lost a great actor. I pray that his soul may rest in peace.”

 

Former CM Jagan condoles the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy expressed his sorrow: “The death of renowned film actor Kota Srinivasa Rao is saddening. He was honored with many awards including the Padma Shri for his unique roles. Kota’s death is an irreparable loss to the Telugu film industry. May his soul rest in peace and pay tributes.”
