Manjummel Boys Director:

Malayalam director Chidambaram has announced his next project. The film is titled Balan. It comes after the success of his 2024 film Manjummel Boys. Chidambaram shared the first-look poster of Balan on Instagram.

The movie will feature a fresh cast. The team selected the cast members through auditions. Jithy Madhavan wrote the screenplay. Jithy Madhavan worked on Romancham and Aavesham.

Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn will produce Balan.They are producing the movie under the banners of KVN Productions and Thespian Films. The release date has not been revealed yet.

The first-look poster of Balan features a semi-naked boy. He is holding a wooden stick in his right hand. The background of the poster is floral. The film has started shooting, as announced by KVN Productions.

Sushin Shyam is composing the music for the movie. Shyju Khalid is in charge of the cinematography. Vivek Harshan will edit the film.

Chidambaram directed the 2024 hit Manjummel Boys. The film took inspiration from true events.It tells the story of a group of friends who face misfortune during their 2006 vacation at the Guna caves. Manjummel Boys earned over ₹200 crore globally. It was released in theaters and later on Disney Hotstar.
