Nowgam Police Station Blast: Late on Friday night, a strong unintentional explosion at the Nowgam Police Station on the outskirts of Srinagar resulted in nine deaths and 29 injuries, most of whom were police officers and forensic specialists. The explosion happened at approximately 11:20 PM when explosives were being extracted and examined as part of a significant terror module investigation.

Blast Due Ammonium Nitrate Mixtures:
The explosion occurred while teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Jammu & Kashmir Police, and a Tehsildar were examining a sizable cache of explosive material, according to officials. The explosives, which were mostly combinations based on ammonium nitrate, were found in the rented home of jailed physician Muzammil Ganaie in Faridabad, Haryana.
