PM Narendra Modi inaugurated Mizoram’s first railway line on Saturday. By marking the inauguration, the Bairabi-Sairang broad-gauge project has become an essential part of the Mizoram’s state’s interlinking and connectivity.

Mizoram’s First Railway Line: Budget

The project which had a budget of Rs 8,070 crore also directly links Indian Railway network. This is a major milestone in the history of Mizoram’s infrastructure developments as it would mark as a big development in Mizoram tourism, as well as for other similar reasons.

The project is expected to boost tourism, generate economic possibilities, and improve general connection to and from the northeastern state, even if its strategic importance makes it the primary benefactor of any development.
