Telangana Rain Alert: Meteorological Department Issues key update

Telangana Rain: Hyderabad Meteorological Center officials have given a key update on the rains in Telangana. They said that the weather in the state will be cloudy and sunny during the day today. They said that there is a chance of very light showers in Hyderabad and surrounding areas after 5 pm. They said that at present there is no chance of heavy rains anywhere in the state. They revealed that the cyclone formed below Sri Lanka in the Arabian Sea is likely to turn into a low pressure area by July 31 or August 1. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in the Telugu states next week as the movements in the Arabian Sea increase. They said that its impact will be greater depending on the direction in which the low pressure moves.

Telangana Rain: Meteorological Department Issues Alert

Strong gusty winds of 40 to 50 kmph are expected across South India for the next three days. Along with this, there is a chance of light to moderate rains here and there in Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra, Yanam, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Lakshadweep and South Maharashtra for a week. The winds are currently blowing from south to north in the Bay of Bengal. In Telangana, the winds will blow at a speed of 15 to 22 kmph. The temperature in the state will be between 29 and 32 degrees Celsius. The hot winds will remind us of the dry season again. There is no chance of heavy rains in the state for a week.


Recently, there have been torrential rains in Telangana. Heavy rains have fallen in many districts for ten days. Due to this, streams and canals have overflowed. Ponds and reservoirs have become waterlogged. After almost 18 years, the Nagarjuna Sagar gates had to be lifted in July itself. Due to heavy flood from above, the Sagar Dam has become like a full pot. Due to this, the Telangana government is lifting the gates and releasing water downstream. Tourists are queuing there as the Sagar gates are being lifted.
