Three Days Holiday Announced for Schools in These Areas in AP Due to Heavy Rains

School Holiday Announced:


The Machilipatnam district administration has announced holidays for all educational institutions in the district due to the forecast of very heavy rains. According to District Collector D.K. Balaji, all government and private schools and colleges will remain closed on October 28, 29, and 30.

Weather experts have predicted that a strong cyclonic storm named “Monthu Cyclone” may bring extremely heavy rainfall to the district on these dates. To ensure the safety of students and to prevent any loss of life, the administration has decided to declare three days of holidays. This order applies to every type of educational institution including government schools, private schools, Gurukul schools, and colleges.


The Collector also issued special instructions for welfare hostels in the district. Students staying in Social Welfare, ST, BC, and Minority Welfare hostels must be sent home safely by the evening of October 26, Sunday. The authorities of these hostels must ensure proper arrangements so that every student reaches home without any difficulty.

Furthermore, the Collector instructed the District Education Officer and officials of SC, ST, BC, and Minority Welfare Departments to implement the guidelines properly at the field level. They must take all necessary precautions and coordinate with schools and colleges to avoid any risk during the heavy rain period.

The district administration is closely monitoring the weather situation. People are requested to stay alert and follow safety instructions issued by the authorities. Ensuring the safety of children and preventing any accidents is the highest priority during this time.
