Who Is Hafiz Saeed: The entire nation was brought to shocks with the Delhi bomb blast in 2025 that took several lives and injured many. As the investigators piece the events together, one of the major developments has come in the form of a video talking about Hafiz Saeed- the infamous commander of Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which presumably surfaced just hours before the blast. And suspicions are growing-if not the whole of the person, at least these ties with the attack.
Hafiz Muhammad Saeed is the man who founded and is the chief of the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations active in Pakistan. He is popularly known as the mastermind in several attacks in India, including the Mumbai attacks in 2008, in which over 160 lives were lost. He has been on India’s most wanted list for several years and has been under international sanctions by the UN and the U.S. because of his involvement in several terror operations.
Early reports indicated that just prior to the explosion in Delhi, a video featuring Hafiz Saeed went up on the internet. The purportedly damaging portion of the clip was where he quoted a retaliating warning against India and stated, “the time of retaliation has come.” While all other aspects of the feature are still being authenticated, its timing has attracted serious attention from intelligence agencies.
In the wake of the blast that occurred in Delhi, these two regions would be put on high alert; Hyderabad, Telangana, and Bihar saw these regions stretched under high alert conditions because they were both in the thick of election phases. Security was beefed up across metro stations, airports, and crowded areas. The joint probe launched by the NIA and Delhi police will seek to trace an origin of the blast and those responsible for it.

Officially, he may not be a suspect, but for sure, his return through this video has revived fears over LeT’s liaisons. Whether it was a lone-wolf act of inspiration, or that of the group sponsored or actioned, is being investigated by security agencies.
And while India mourns, the nation awaits certain answers- was Hafiz Saeed really responsible for the Delhi bomb blast of 2025, or was it some other hand involved?
