Foods to not eat with Tea: Many people feel magic works for them when they start their day with a hot cup of milk tea. Strange it may seem, opposite pairings with tea pairings may interfere with digestion and cause health issues. Knowing only those pairings will allow drinking tea without any ill effects. Here are the foods that should never be consumed with tea.
Sour citrus fruits include sweet lime, oranges, and lemons. Some might be allergic to the combination of these sour fruits with tea-friendly sources like milk. The sourness may cause heartburn, nausea, acidity, or loose motions. Have tea now and keep those fruits for later.
Iron-rich foods should never be taken with tea. Legumes and green leafy veggies are among them. Tannins of tea interfere with iron absorption by binding with iron. Constant consumption of tea may worsen the iron deficiency caused gradually by such iron-rich foods.
While fried food with tea is that one synergy most people know, it does have an impact on digestion. Deep-fried food has come to be known for its ill-fated fats which are hard on the system; paired with tea, the acidity and the bloated feeling would not be unheard of. Doing this often would gradually increase the levels of bad cholesterol.
Both tea and spicy foods are aggravating to the gastric lining. Together tea and hot foods could cause sensitivity in an otherwise normal person to cause digestive imbalance which may bring an upset or a burning feeling in the stomach.
These baked items are high in the bad fats and sugar. Consuming tea with these would cause a fast-blood-sugar spike followed by either fatigue or lethargy. Availing them for a long term would be destructive to the metabolic health.
Always consult your healthcare provider or nutritionist before making any drastic changes to your diet. Conscious selection will enable one to enjoy the cuppa of tea in the healthiest manner.
