Glass Bottle vs Plastic Bottle: When talking about glass and plastic, the majority think about convenience. The actual health implications arise from the material you drink from. In general, both glass and plastic have their pros and cons; however, one stands out as the healthier choice.
Case For Glass Bottles
Glass bottles are supposedly the safest. They are non-toxic, non-porous, and do not throw chemical substances into beverages, even from the heat. On the other hand, glass does not take on scents or tastes, so it will not interfere with the flavor of your water. Furthermore, glass gives you a substance that can really be recycled again and again and does no harm to the environment. The only sad part is that they are a bit heavier and more fragile, which makes carrying them around the least convenient option.
What Are Plastic Bottles Worrying For?
Plastic bottles are light, durable, and cheap, hence the most commonly used container. However, many plastics leach substances such as BPA (bisphenol A), microplastics, and chemicals into water, especially if reused, exposed to sunlight and heat. These chemicals have been found to be endrocrine disruptors and cause metabolic disorders, among a long list of health implications. BPA-free is a safer option, but not without its associated hazards.
From the point of view of health, then, glass is the winner. A glass maintains purity free from toxic chemicals that interfere with the perception of taste for water. Glass is perfect for home and office use. Plastic could be used, though, for outings and travel yet with great caution- that is, single use plus never to be exposed to heat.

If health and safety come first, then glass bottles should be preferred. Yes, some care has to be exercised, but long-term gains far outweigh any inconveniences. Plastic bottles may help for short-term arrangements, but in the long run, they harm both your body and the environment.
