Another concern is that curd can increase mucus production. Eating curd at night may lead to cough, cold, or throat congestion, especially in children or those with weak immunity. People with asthma or bronchitis are often advised to avoid curd at night, as it can make breathing issues worse.
Experts also say that curd eaten late in the evening may disturb sleep. Since it makes the body cool, it can cause restlessness or poor sleep quality. In some cases, it may also trigger joint pains, skin allergies, or acne problems.
