Social Media Use: Never Post THESE aspects To Avoid Jail

If you are also sharing any post on social media without thinking, then wait a moment! Provocative or wrong posts can land you directly in jail. Not only this, if this post is shared in a WhatsApp group, then the group admin may also have to face legal action. Actually, after the Aurangzeb’s Samadhi controversy in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the police has increased surveillance on social media. In such a situation, if you also post any objectionable post related to Aurangzeb, then such a post can also land you in jail. So far 8 criminal cases have been registered and 506 objectionable posts have been removed. You need to be careful and never post these aspects on social media to avoid jail.


Police eye on these platforms:

These days the police is doing cyber patrolling on all major social media platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube. Immediate action is being taken on inflammatory or rumor-spreading posts. Not only this, if any wrong post is made in a group and the admin does not pay attention to it, then he can also be held guilty. The police has clearly said that it is the responsibility of the group admin to take strict steps to stop wrong information or inflammatory content in the group.

First of all, if you post inflammatory posts based on religion or caste, then such posts can put you in big trouble. You may also have to face action for posting fake news or rumor-spreading content. Also avoid posting content that endangers the unity and law and order of the country. Apart from this, do not share objectionable photos, videos or memes.

Action can be taken under this Act
If someone posts objectionable content on social media, then a case can be registered against him. The lesser known act, under the IT Act 2000 and sections of the IPC. There is also a provision of jail and fine in this. In such a situation, before sharing any post, definitely know its truth. Whereas the group admin should keep a close eye on the messages being sent in his group. If someone is spreading wrong information then he should immediately inform the police about it.
