Sacred Games
Sacred Games is undoubtedly the best Indian web series made. As the first Hindi web series on Netflix, it explores crime, power dynamics, greed, and other exciting themes. The story revolves around an honest yet disturbed cop Sartaj Singh. When he receives a phone call from gangster Ganesh Gaitonde to save the city in 25 days, he must race against time to protect it. What follows hereon is a riveting thriller that keeps us on the edge of our seats. Based on Vikram Chandra’s book of the same title, the story is massive and has all possibilities for a blockbuster sequel. Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddique, Radhika Apte, Pankaj Tripathi, Kalki Koechlin, Ranvir Shorey, and others play the lead roles.
Kota Factory
The TVF’s Kota Factory explores the lives of students preparing for JEE exams and their efforts to join IIT. Based in Kota, a city popular for IIT JEE coaching centers, the story revolves around a 16-year-old Vaibhav who comes to Kota from Itarsi. It has many other characters which reveal how coaching centers operate, how students prep for tests, and more. The three-season web series has the potential to be made into another season.
Guns & Gulaabs
Netflix in December 2023 announced that the second season of Guns and Gulaabs is in progress. Directed by Raj and DK, the show has an ensemble cast of Dulquer Salman, Raj Kumarrao, Gulshan Devaiah, Adarsg Gourav, Satish Kaushik, and others. However, with Raj and DK busy in The Family Man and Farzi, it is unclear when season 2 will arrive.
