Bollywood action thriller movie Deva with Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde in main lead is all set to release on Netflix on March 28, 2025.The film was directed by Rosshan Andrrews and it was released in theaters on January 31, 2025.Even though it received mixed reviews, Shahid Kapoor’s performance was widely appreciated.

Deva is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam film “Mumbai Police.” The story revolves around a bold and unconventional police officer, Dev Ambre, played by Shahid Kapoor. His fearless approach to solve crimes makes him a well-known figure in law enforcement. Pooja Hegde plays Diya Sathaye who was a crime journalist and also happens to be Dev’s love interest.

The movie follows Dev Ambre as he investigates a dangerous case involving powerful criminals. His quest for justice leads to shocking revelations and testing his loyalty and integrity.The film explores themes of betrayal, crime and the fine line between good and evil.

While Deva was made on a big budget, it earned around ₹56.29 crore worldwide which was lower than expected. The action sequences and Shahid Kapoor’s acting received praise but some critics felt that the screenplay and climax could have been stronger.

If you missed watching Deva in theaters then you can now stream it on Netflix from March 28, 2025.It has intense action, gripping drama and power packed performances and the film is a must watch for fans of crime thrillers.

After the debacle of Deva, Shahid Kapoor is now reuniting with Vishal Bhardwaj for his next project. Tentatively titled Arjun Ustara will be released on December 5, 2025. The film went on floors in January.

Meanwhile Pooja Hegde will soon be seen in Retro. Retro is an upcoming Indian Tamil language romantic action film written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Produced by Stone Bench Creations and 2D Entertainment, the film stars Suriya and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles
