Roja Accused in Land Grabbing Case – Complaint Filed at TDP Office

Roja Accused in Land Grabbing Case: In a surprising development from Andhra Pradesh, former minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) senior leader RK Roja faces serious land grabbing allegations. Unlike usual complaints made at police stations or revenue offices, this one reached the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) central office in Mangalagiri.

Roja Accused in Land Grabbing Case:
Gunasekhara Reddy, a TNTUC (Telugu Nadu Trade Union Council) leader from Kalimbaka village in Vijayapuram mandal, Chittoor district, directly approached TDP officials and accused Roja of land encroachment. According to him, his father had legally purchased a piece of land in Jyothinagar, near Nagarikonda, in 1982. Recently, he claims that this land has been illegally occupied by RK Roja, her husband Selvamani, Nagari Municipal Chairman and a person named Meena Kumar.

Gunasekhara Reddy alleged that a tin-shed has been constructed on the disputed land and that his repeated appeals to the local police were ignored. He further claimed that the police are not responding because they are under political pressure from influential leaders. With no help from government officials, he approached the TDP office to seek justice, setting a new trend of political complaint filing.

This complaint has now attracted widespread attention, raising several questions. Why didn’t the police take action when a citizen approached them with a legal grievance? Why did a land dispute complaint end up at a political party office instead of going through official legal channels? These are questions being discussed across media and political circles.

Interestingly, this is not the first time the TDP office has received complaints from the public. In recent times, several individuals have been submitting petitions at the party’s headquarters, especially when they feel neglected by the government or local authorities. This reflects a growing trend where people are losing trust in formal institutions and are instead relying on political platforms for support.

As for RK Roja, she has not responded publicly to these allegations yet. Political observers believe this issue could grow into a major controversy if not addressed quickly. It remains to be seen whether the YSRCP leadership or government departments will launch a proper investigation or dismiss it as a political stunt.

One thing is clear — this case has brought back public focus on land disputes, misuse of power, and the need for fair investigation mechanisms.
