TDP Brings BC Protection Act:
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stated that his government is following the ideology of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. He announced plans to introduce a BC Protection Act soon. He also affirmed that the coalition government is committed to good governance.
CBN praised Mahatma Jyotirao Phule as a social reformer.He said Phule is the man who fought for women’s education and against child marriage. He credited Phule for inspiring leaders like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.
TDP’s Commitment to BC Welfare
CM Naidu highlighted the contributions of former CM N.T. Rama Rao in uplifting BC communities. He said that the Telugu Desam Party is the only party that consistently supports BCs. He assured that his government is working alongside leaders like PM Narendra Modi and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan to protect BC rights.
BC Protection Act
CBN announced plans to introduce a special protection law for BCs similar to the SC/ST Atrocities Act. A sub-committee is already working on the framework. He criticized the previous government for reducing BC reservations in local bodies from 34% to 24%. His government will restore it to 34% and ensure 33% reservation for BCs in nominated posts.
Additional Welfare Measures
The CM outlined various schemes for BCs, including:
– Establishment of BC Corporations and BC Bhavans
– Residential schools for BC and fishermen’s children
– ₹15 lakh financial aid for BC students studying abroad
– Free coaching for competitive exams
– Special subsidies for traditional occupations
CM Naidu assured Minister Parthasaradhi of full support for Nuzvid’s development. He promised to resolve legal disputes related to the Chintalapudi Lift Irrigation Project.
CBN warned against social media misuse. He emphasized strict action against false propaganda and advised parents to guide their children toward becoming responsible citizens.
