When asked about the cast, he stated that the actors from the first film would return, hinting that Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan will reprise their roles as Ram and Jaanu. Though he did not mention their names explicitly, fans are excited about their return.

In an earlier interview, Prem Kumar revealed that he had shared the sequel’s storyline with Vijay Sethupathi’s wife, and she had appreciated it. This further fueled speculation that the actors are on board for the project.
