Cosmic Samson: Weekend Blockbusters, the renowned production house headed by Sophia Paul, has officially announced the title for its tenth film. Titled “Cosmic Samson,” the upcoming project is yet another ambitious venture from the banner responsible for delivering some of the biggest hits in Malayalam cinema.
Young actor Sandeep Pradeep takes the lead in Cosmic Samson. His powerful performances in movies like Padakkalam and Eko and growing fame combined with slew of recent successes have set the stage high with expectations for this new character and story.
Abhijith Joseph, who came into limelight with his thrilling John Luther, will write and direct the film, while Abhikrish will provide co-screenplay-sharing furthering the creative impetus behind this venture.
For over a decade now, Weekend Blockbusters have churned major commercial, as well as critical, hits. The banner is known for films such as Minnal Murali, RDX, Mundhirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, and Bangalore Days. Thus Cosmic Samson arrives with enormous expectations, given such a basis.
The official commencement of the film will take place with a pooja on December 8, followed by principal photography beginning December 14. The makers are aiming for a mid-2026 release in theaters, wanting to provide the audiences with a very big and visually compelling movie.
Sandeep Pradeep is supported by strong casting comprising Mukesh, Miya George, Altaf Salim, Alphonse Puthren, Anuraj O.B., and numerous newcomers. Significantly, Hollywood action director Vlad Rimburg, currently in great demand after his work on Minnal Murali, returns to Malayalam cinema for this project.
The technical team comprises Manuel Cruz Darwin (Co-producer), Chaman Chacko (Editor), Sibi Mathew (Music), Vishnu Govind of Sound Factor (Sound Design), Anoop Sundaran (Digital Marketing), and Sabari (PRO).
