Dhanush’s third directorial, NEEK is one of the highly anticipated film of 2025.
A while ago, the makers dropped the trailer of the movie, which created a buzz among the Gen-Z audience. The trailer was filled with colors of joy, love and drama.
Being, one of the most anticipated films, audiences’ expectation has reached the sky, after the release of the trailer.
Kobam Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi (abbreviated as NEEK, which translates to “Why is the Moon Angry with Me?”), under Wunderbar Films and RK Productions, is an upcoming youth romantic comedy film in Tamil that Dhanush co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced with Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi Kasthuri. Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan are among the ensemble cast members.
The film, which was originally scheduled to be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and starred Dhanush, was never made. The script was then borrowed by Dhanush, who intended to direct it himself. Since it is Dhanush’s third directing effort, it was resurrected and released in December 2023 under the provisional title DD3, and the real title was revealed a few days later. That same month, principal photography got underway. G. V. Prakash Kumar wrote the film’s music, Leon Britto handled the photography, and Prasanna GK handled the editing.
About The Trailer:
The trailer starts with an upbeat music which brings out the whole rhythm of the movie, and later shows a young couple with a boy who’s aspiring to be a chef. Followed by the events, we also get to see a young couple getting ready for marriage. Both these story lines get connected, after a while in the trailer with several unexpected events. The trailer clearly connects with the Gen-z audience, as it carries a modern touch.
The global premiere of Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is set for February 21, 2025.
