Actress Assault Case: Other Accused Alongside Actor Dileep

Dileep Actress Assault Case: After 3,215 days, the final verdict in the Malayalam actress assault case has finally been delivered, bringing an end to one of Kerala’s most closely followed trials. Actor Dileep, listed as the eighth accused, has been acquitted, with the court stating that there is no evidence of conspiracy against him. The prosecution also failed to prove the conspiracy charges in his case. Meanwhile, the court found accused 1 to 6 guilty, confirming both the assault and the conspiracy involved in the crime. In addition, the accused 7 to 10 and the 15th accused, Sarath, have also been acquitted. The verdict marks a major turning point in a case that shook the entire state and sparked years of public debate.

All 15 people named in the Assault Case:
1. N.S. Sunil alias Pulsar Suni (Accused 1): driver from Ernakulam’s Vengoor. arrested on February 23, 2017, and released on September 20, 2024, following an undertrial that lasted more than seven years. charged with gang rape, conspiracy, unlawful confinement, use of criminal force, destruction of evidence, and distribution of pornographic photographs under IPC Sections 120A, 120B, 109, 376, 342, 204, and 201.

2. Martin Antony (Accused 2): Booked under the same charges, he is a private film studio driver in Kochi.

3. Manikandan B. (Accused 3): Booked under the same charges, he is an autorickshaw driver. On November 28, 2025, following his arrest and release by Palarivattom police in a public nuisance case, he made a suicide attempt.

4. Vijeesh V.P. (Accused 4): Booked under the same charges, he is an electrician.

5. Salim H., alias Vadival Salim (Accused 5): Booked under the same charges, he is a bus crew member.

6. Pradeep (Accused 6): Another bus crew member, booked on the same charges.

7. Charly Thomas (Accused 7): He was charged with giving transportation to the accused and providing accommodation in Coimbatore. He is a bakery employee.

8. P. Gopalakrishnan alias Actor Dileep (Accused 8): Malayalam actor who was charged under IPC sections 120A, 120B, 109, 376, 342, 204, and 201.

9. Sanilkumar Alias Mesthiri Sanil (Accused 9): The only accused who is still in jail. He was charged with criminal intimidation under IPC 506 for plotting inside jail to extort money.

10. Sarath (Accused 15): He is a close friend of Actor Dileep and a hotel owner in Aluva.

The other three accused, Vishnu, Vipin Lal, and police constable Aneesh, have turned into approvers before the verdict itself. Lawyers have their mobile phones, which contain the visuals, and they were later acquitted.
