Kamal Haasan Retirement: Kamal Haasan has finally spoken about the rumours surrounding his retirement from acting. Even at 71, the Indian cinema legend continues to work actively, releasing a film almost every year. His pace matches that of younger stars, and his passion for cinema remains unchanged. Recently, after his election to the Rajya Sabha, several reports claimed that he might quit acting. Some even suggested that his political responsibilities would force him to step away from films.

During a conference on Art and Literature in Kerala, where actress Manju Warrier was also present, Kamal Haasan addressed the retirement rumours directly on stage. When asked about his retirement, he said honest and emotional thoughts about his long career.

Kamal said that no one has asked him to retire, but he sometimes feels like taking a break, especially when one of his films fails at the box office. He said such moments make him question whether he should continue acting. However, his well-wishers and fans constantly encourage him to stay in films. According to him, they want him to act in one last great film before deciding to retire.

“I am waiting for a good film. If I find that one perfect movie, I will retire after completing it,” Kamal said. His comments suggest that he wants to end his acting career on a high note, with a memorable blockbuster.

Recently, Kamal appeared in the film Thalaivar 170 (Thanlife), but it failed to impress audiences. At present, he is working on Kalki 2 and is also planning Vikram 2 with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. On top of that, Rajinikanth is set to produce a new film starring Kamal, although the director for that project has not yet been finalised. For now, Kamal Haasan has not retired—but he has made it clear that he wants to close his legendary journey with one strong, successful film. Fans are eagerly waiting to see which movie becomes his grand farewell.
