Drishyam 3 Completes Shooting: Pre-Business Hits ₹350 Crore

Drishyam 3 Pre-business Sales: There is strong buzz that ‘Drishyam 3’ has already done pre-business of over ₹350 crore. These huge deals were reportedly signed because the film is being released as a pan-India project in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. Trade analysts say that no Malayalam film has ever done business on this level.

In the Malayalam industry, even blockbuster movies rarely cross ₹200–250 crore in their full theatrical run. But Drishyam 3 achieving ₹350 crore in pre-sales before shooting even finished shows how much the market has grown. The film’s first two parts were massive hits, not just in Malayalam, but also as Hindi and Telugu remakes. Because of this huge demand, the makers decided to release the original directly in four major languages without selling remake rights. Recently, Loka Chapter 1: Chandra crossed ₹300 crore, setting a new record for Malayalam cinema. However, according to trade estimates, Drishyam 3 is expected to easily break that record.

Shooting Wrap-Up:

The filming of Drishyam 3 was completed on Tuesday. Jeethu Joseph is back as the director, with Mohanlal returning as Georgekutty. Actors Meena, Siddique, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil have also returned to their roles. Murali Gopy and KB Ganesh Kumar, who played police officers in Part 2, are also part of the new film.

The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas. Recently, Panorama Studios, which makes the Hindi version of the franchise, acquired the theatrical, overseas, and digital rights. Though numbers are not officially announced, this is said to be the biggest deal ever for a Malayalam film.

Mohanlal’s Other Projects:

Mohanlal is also part of the multistarrer Patriot, which reunites him with Mammootty after many years. The spy thriller also features Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, and Nayanthara. He is expected to play a cameo in his daughter Vismaya’s debut film Thudakkam. Additionally, Mohanlal has confirmed two more films with director Tharun Moorthy. He will next be seen in Vrusshabha, a multilingual period fantasy film releasing this Christmas.
