There’s a lot of buzz around Jr NTR’s next big film with director Prashanth Neel, tentatively called NTRNeel. As filming is already underway, fans are eagerly waiting for official updates, especially about the heroine of the movie. Now, actress Rukmini Vasanth has caught everyone’s attention with a mysterious Instagram post.

Rukmini, known for her role in Bhairathi Ranagal, recently posted a few selfies wearing a white shirt with tiger prints. She captioned the post, “tiger tiger burning bright.” This caption, along with the tiger-themed outfit, immediately made fans wonder if she was hinting at joining the cast of NTRNeel. Given Jr NTR is often associated with the “tiger” symbol and image, the connection seemed too close to ignore.

Fans quickly reacted in the comments, believing this was her way of confirming her role opposite Jr NTR in the high-octane action film. However, neither Rukmini nor the film’s team has made any official announcement about her role.

Meanwhile, NTRNeel is scheduled to release on January 9, 2026, and could face stiff competition from Jana Nayagan, Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, which is expected to release around the same time.

Jr NTR is currently juggling multiple projects. After finishing his shoot for War 2, his debut Hindi film set to release on August 14, 2025, he joined the sets of NTRNeel. There are also talks about a mythological movie with director Trivikram Srinivas, although that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.

Whether or not Rukmini Vasanth is the leading lady of NTRNeel, her recent post has surely stirred fan excitement and raised expectations even higher.
