Actor Sivakarthikeyan currently basking the tremendous success of his recent biographical action war film Amaran. It was released worldwide on 31 October 2024 in theatres, coinciding with Diwali, to widespread critical acclaim from critics, who praised actor’s performance, transformation, Rajkumar Periasamy’s direction, screenplay and execution.
In an recent conversation with a media Amaran actor clarified rumors of appearing in the Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth’s upcoming action thriller drama Coolie. He recently made a special cameo in Thalapathy Vijay’s The Greatest Of All The Time, GOAT.

When he was questioned about appearing in a cameo role for Rajinikanth starrer Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. In response to the same, the actor said, “No, I had gone to the shooting spot. I meet Lokesh often because we are in a common group. Like Maaveeran producer Arun Vishwas, associate screenwriter Chandru, Madonne Ashwin, Lokesh, and myself hang out together most of the time.”
He further said “I had gone to Coolie shooting spot because the shooting is happening right opposite my house. So, once I go home…I’ll definitely go there. Coolie is my Thalaivar’s film, that is the only connection I have with it. I’m not in the film and please don’t carry any news like that.”

Coolie, tentative title Thalaivar 171 is an upcoming Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures is currently under pre-production stage and soon will go on the floors. The film stars Rajinikanth in the titular role, alongside Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj.
The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj and is all set for it’s worldwide grand debut in 2025 in standard and IMAX formats.
