Suriya’s Anjaan: Indian cinema today runs in revival with all old films-some modernized released- favorite films, whether classic or blockbuster, are getting restored and re-released into theaters to recreate that cinematic feel again to those who could not watch it long ago in theaters.
After a gap of over a decade, Anjaan, Suriya’s star-studded action entertainer, made in 2014, is gearing for rerelease yet again. To be released by N. Lingusamy both in direction and writing, the national release of this film will be taken to other heavens on November 28 th, 2025. Also joining Suriya and Samantha for Anjaan were Vidyut Jammwal, Manoj Bajpayee, Dalip Tahil, Murali Sharma, Soori, Chetan Hansraj, Sanjana Singh, and Asif Basra. Anjaan intensified the pre-release hype with its classy trailer and adrenaline-surging action scenarios promoted with Suriya’s mass appeal, yet the audience was disappointed and filled with mixed to negative reviews.
Anjaan was purportedly created on a grand budget of ₹75 crore and accrued approximately ₹83.55 crore at the box office worldwide according to IMDb. The regional breakdown of the box office collection shows around ₹41.05 crore from Tamil Nadu, ₹10.20 crore from Andhra and Nizam, ₹5.60 crore from Kerala, ₹5.40 crore from Karnataka, and ₹20.45 crore from international distribution.
It was earlier considered to be a disaster, but it has developed almost a cult following among many hardcore Suriya fans because of its aesthetic sensibilities, music-and action sequences. The vintage film will be re-released well ahead two weeks in the brand-new developed audio-visual value promising an elevated viewing experience. Thus, it is not merely a re-release for fans, but a much larger celebration of Suriya’s evergreen presence on the big screen!
