Although he did not reveal the movie’s name, many people assumed it was Akhanda 2: Tandavam, as it was the only major film nearing release at that time.

But Akhanda 2 did not release as planned. First, the makers said there would be no premieres. Later, they officially postponed the release. This led to frustration among Balakrishna’s fans. They started trolling Venu Swamy again, saying that after he did the homam, the movie got postponed. They questioned why such things never happened earlier in their hero’s career.

Some people on social media also discussed another angle. They said worship related to goddess Baglamukhi must be done very carefully, otherwise it may bring negative results. They wondered whether the producers asked him to perform the homam or whether he did it to gain publicity. At the same time, industry reports suggest that financial issues faced by the production house were the real reason behind the delay of Akhanda 2.

For now, the controversy continues, with fans debating whether Venu Swamy’s homam had anything to do with the film’s postponement or if it was just a coincidence.
