Initially, Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan’s film Vidaamuyarchi is set for a 2025 Pongal release. But on New Year the bad news surfed on the internet for Ajith Fans and Trisha fans. They officially announced the postponement of the film. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni the film was one of the most awaited films of the year. Made with a budget of 225–330 crore the film has high expectations as it’s coming with Ajith’s high-octane action sequences and also on-screen hit pair Trisha Krishnan. However, now fans have to wait a bit longer than expected for the film Vidaamuyarchi.
The makers of Vidaamuyarchi, LYCA production took their official social media account twitter and posted the bad news wishing the new year. They wrote “Wishing everyone a happy, joyous New Year! Due to unavoidable circumstances, our film Vidaamuyarchi will not be released on Pongal Day. We wish all our fans and well-wishers a prosperous year ahead.” They captioned the post, “Kindly stay tuned for further updates! The wait will be worth it!”

The story follows A married couple’s trip takes an unsettling turn when the wife goes missing, prompting the husband’s frantic search while an unknown villain creates obstacles. Initially scheduled for the 2025 Pongal release, now been postponed. The new release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
