Chiranjeevi Teams Up with Nayanthara for Mega157

Legendary actor Chiranjeevi and top actress Nayanthara are filming their third collaboration under the working title Mega157. The movie reunites them after hit collaborations in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019) and Godfather (2022). Director Anil Ravipudi leads the project, aiming for a grand Sankranthi 2026 release.

Shooting Kicks Off in Mussoorie

The team has started its second shoot schedule in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Chiranjeevi reached the location early, and Nayanthara joined shortly after. They will film key scenes and a song sequence amid the scenic hills. Crew member Sameer Reddy captures the mood as cinematographer, while Tammiraju leads the editing team.

Big-Scale Production and Music

Mega157 is a joint production by Sahu Garapati (Shine Screens) and Sushmita Konidela (Gold Box Entertainment), with Archana presenting. Music composer Bheems Ceciroleo will deliver a mass appeal soundtrack. AS Prakash designs the sets, while writers S Krishna and G Adi Narayana shape the script.

Anil Ravipudi Promises Fun, Emotion & Action

Director Ravipudi describes the film as a full-on entertainer blending humour, emotion, and high-energy action. Chiranjeevi plays Shankar Varaprasad, his real name, in a role that showcases his range. The screenplay pairs dynamic character moments with mass heroism to engage audiences of all ages.

What Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara Have Been Up To

Chiranjeevi took a break from releases in 2024 but stayed active behind the scenes. Apart from Mega157, audiences can expect him in the socio-fantasy action film Vishwambhara, although its release date remains uncertain.

Nayanthara recently starred in the Netflix thriller Test alongside R. Madhavan and Siddharth. She now holds several projects in her pipeline, including Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups, Mannanagatti Since 1960, Dear Students, Mookuthi Amman 2, and Rakkiye.
