Gaddar Awards Controversy:
Film producer and FDC chairman Dil Raju recently spoke about the importance of attending film award ceremonies. His comments followed the grand Telangana Gaddar Awards, held on Saturday. The organizers managed the event well and made it a success. It took nearly six months of hard work and planning to put it together.
During a press meet after the awards, Dil Raju said, “I am very happy with how the Gaddar Awards turned out.” He especially thanked Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for attending and staying much longer than expected. The Chief Minister planned to stay for only an hour. At Dil Raju’s request, he extended his visit to over two hours and personally presented the awards. This made all the award winners proud and happy.
Looking forward, Dil Raju mentioned that the Andhra Pradesh government will soon be organizing its own film awards. He asked all actors, producers, and film workers to respect these ceremonies and attend them in person, even if they are busy with shoots or are out of town. “It’s a responsibility we all have toward the industry and the government honoring us.”
Some people say Dil Raju’s words were a hidden warning. His speech seemed to reflect the unhappiness of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over the absence of big stars at the event. Top actors like Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, NTR, Ram Charan, and Mahesh Babu were missing from the awards ceremony. Although Dil Raju did not directly name anyone, many feel his words were meant for these actors who chose not to attend.
“It’s not just a matter of honoring oneself; it’s about honoring the industry and the government that supports us.” His message seemed clear — when the industry is recognized by the state, its big names should show their support by being present.
As the industry moves forward, everyone is wondering whether these messages will make a difference in future award ceremonies. Will the big stars show up and appreciate the honor, or will their absence continue to raise questions?
