It ran the custody hearing for iBomma Ravi into its third and final day on Tuesday. For the last two days, the Cybercrime police intensified their investigating efforts after bringing Ravi from Chanchalguda Jail to the CCS office for the purpose of interrogation. Since the very outset, officials have aimed to track down the network and finances and digital operations that are allegedly associated with Ravi and his accomplices.
From day one of questioning, investigators are said to have made substantial breakthroughs in understanding the complex network that Njila had set up as well as the financial structures supporting it. According to the police inputs, several gangs have run their unofficial website by masking their identities through the IP addresses. That finding made Cybercrime department conduct raids on these IP masking service providers, believed to be the source of these operations.
Authorities also expanded their probe to cover porn sites and pirated movie sites, which they believe are part of the same ecosystem. Another crucial lead emerged surrounding the launch of the Ad Bull application, with cops now believing that it was instrumental in their trails of finance being uncovered.
The interrogation on the second day was completely about Ravi’s finances and bank transactions. According to investigators, Ravi has proved to be uncooperative and did not answer any question related to revenue sources, transfers or possible links to gaming and betting platforms. Even though he is silent, the police found proof that states that Ravi has earned millions over time through various gaming and betting applications.
With today being Ravi’s final day in custody, Cybercrime officials want to draw the last drops of information before producing him in the magistrate at Nampally, this evening. As Day 3 unfolds, investigators are hopefully treading toward consolidating the leads they have garnered so far and strengthening the case based on the digital and financial evidence collected during the three-day custody.
