Akhanda 2 Release Postponed: The makers of Akhanda 2 have officially postponed the film’s release just a day before its scheduled opening. Production house 14 Reels Plus announced that the movie will not be released tomorrow due to “unavoidable circumstances.”

In a statement, the team said, “We are deeply saddened to inform you that Akhanda 2 will not be released as per schedule. We understand the disappointment this may cause to fans and movie lovers. We are working tirelessly to resolve the issue and will share a positive update soon. Thank you for your support.”

Why Was Akhanda 2 Postponed?
While the official reason given is “technical issues,” internal reports reveal a much bigger problem involving past financial disputes.

1. Long-Pending Revenue Dispute Linked to Mahesh Babu Films
Years ago, Mahesh Babu’s films 1: Nenokkadine and Aagadu brought heavy losses to distributor Aeros/Arrows Entertainment. Both films were handled by 14 Reels, and the losses were never fully recovered. Arrows Entertainment later claimed that 14 Reels still owes them ₹27–28 crore, and due to pending payments, the amount has increased further with interest.

2. Legal Action Against 14 Reels:
Arrows Entertainment filed an arbitration case, alleging that 14 Reels renamed itself as “14 Reels Plus” to avoid paying dues. Following the complaint, the Madras High Court issued a stay order, blocking the release of Akhanda 2 until the financial dispute is resolved.

3. Premiere Shows Cancelled Unexpectedly:
Fans expected early premiere shows to begin, but all shows were cancelled at the last minute. This left many Balakrishna fans disappointed, especially because the team did not reveal the real issue earlier.

What Happens Next?
The film will only be released after the legal and financial settlement is completed. Until then, the makers are maintaining that the delay is due to technical issues.
